Although it is the collection that lies at the center of RAW Dsign, I do also create unique and often extravagant designs for clients to enhance any space on their request. For example, I have made lounge units out of used liquid carrier tanks that allow for an incomparable experience. Anything is possible with stainless steel and I am always looking forward to the new challenge.

Hardänger
The Norwegian region of HARDANGER has commissioned Ronald to design a 50 to 100 meters high landmark for the region, known as the cultural heart of Norway.
The regional authorities have asked Ronald to exhibit 10 of his larger stainless steel sculptures throughout the region from 4th July until 21st September 2008.
Norwegian Minister of Local Government and Regional Development Mrs. Magnhild Meltveit Kleppa together with Mr. Hanjo de Kuiper, Chargé d'Affaires at the Dutch Embassy in Oslo, will conduct the official openings on 4th (Press) and 5th July 2008 at the Kabuso Museum, Oystese, Kvam.
You will be amazed by the international artistic scope and reach of this unique and spectacular exhibition. Westerhuis recently started a project in the Hardänger region in Norway. This region wants to create a landmark to enhance their identity and increase awareness worldwide. Westerhuis' design was selected from a list of many well known international artists to make this happen.
As a kick off to the project, Westerhuis exhibited many of his pieces throughout the Hardänger region. The exhibition took place from 5 July to 21 September 2008. At the moment the feasibility of the project is being examined in collaboration with Grontmij, an engineering company from the Netherlands.
