Although it is the collection that lies at the center of RAW Dsign, I do also create unique and often extravagant designs for clients to enhance any space on their request. For example, I have made lounge units out of used liquid carrier tanks that allow for an incomparable experience. Anything is possible with stainless steel and I am always looking forward to the new challenge.

Olympic Flame
In 2003, Ronald A. Westerhuis developed the idea to design an Olympic Flame for the Olympics "Beijing 2008". The ambitious plan was welcomed with enthusiasm by the business world. Ronald was commissioned to make a model of 7 meters high (21ft). With this overwhelming sculpture, the artist drew the attention of both the press and the Dutch Olympic Committee, especially of chairwoman Erica Terpstra.
The Holland Heineken House used the sculpture for their renowned opening ceremony at the Summer Olympics, Athens 2004. The sculpture attracted international attention, particularly in China where Ronald A. Westerhuis presented the art piece together with a general exhibition of his work at the "Art Shanghai 2005".
